Shivanjana Entertainments was built on one conviction — that Lucknow deserves performance art that takes itself seriously. Not a filler act between dinner courses. Not a backdrop for selfies. Real theatre. Real music. Real craft.

In our first year we staged four productions that each demanded something from their audience — attention, emotion, memory. A theatrical character study. A raw dramatic performance. Two evenings of live music that reminded this city why certain composers are immortal.

We are one year old. We intend to be here for many more.

Our Journey

From an idea to
four stages.

2023

The Idea Takes Root

Rajiv Ranjan — singer and stage actor — begins forming the vision for a cultural performance company in Lucknow rooted in both dramatic theatre and live music. Early conversations with artists, directors and musicians begin.

Early 2024

Shivanjana is Founded

The company is formally established. A small but fiercely committed core team comes together. The mission is simple and uncompromising: Lucknow deserves performance art that takes itself seriously.

2024

The Clown (Vidushak) — Debut Production

Our first theatrical production explores the ancient figure of the Vidushak — the court jester — as a vehicle for uncomfortable truths. The production draws strong responses and establishes Shivanjana's voice in the city's cultural landscape.

2024

Daddy & Pancham Dhara

A raw, emotionally demanding stage drama and a tribute evening to the legendary R.D. Burman — two productions in one year, each pulling in a different direction, both uncompromising in their execution. Pancham Dhara sold out its venue.

Late 2024

Symphoria — A Tribute to Laxmikant–Pyarelal

Our fourth production in our first year: a live musical tribute to the iconic composer duo. An evening of orchestral richness and deep feeling that reminded Lucknow what a live concert can be when treated as an art form, not a product.

A vocalist and stage actor who built Shivanjana on the belief that Lucknow's cultural life deserves someone who cares enough to do it properly.
