The Clown
(Vidushak)

A theatrical character study

The Vidushak — the ancient court jester of Sanskrit drama — is one of the theatre's oldest devices for speaking uncomfortable truths to power. Our production strips the character of its comic costume and asks: what happens when the jester refuses to perform?

A demanding, unsettling hour of theatre that drew strong responses and established Shivanjana's voice clearly in Lucknow's cultural landscape. The audience was not allowed to be comfortable. That was the point.

Daddy

A raw dramatic performance

A domestic drama stripped of sentiment and played at full intensity. Daddy examines the weight of inherited expectation — what fathers leave behind and what children spend lifetimes carrying or refusing to carry.

The production demanded an extraordinary commitment from its cast. No relief. No comic release. Just the sustained pressure of a relationship examined honestly under stage light.

Pancham Dhara

A tribute to R.D. Burman
Musical Tribute 2024 · Sold Out

Pancham — R.D. Burman — composed music that was too modern for its time and too human to ever age. This evening was our act of devotion: a live concert that moved through his catalogue chronologically, giving each era of his genius the space it deserved.

The venue sold out. The applause at the end was the longest of any production we have staged. But it was the silence in the middle — the kind that falls when music is playing and nobody wants to breathe — that told us we had done something right.

Symphoria

A tribute to Laxmikant–Pyarelal
Musical Tribute Late 2024

Laxmikant–Pyarelal composed the sound of Bollywood's golden era — melodies so deeply embedded in Indian cultural memory that hearing them live is almost disorienting in their familiarity. Symphoria asked what happens when you remove that familiarity's safety and force an audience to hear the music again for the first time.

The answer: reverence. A full evening of orchestral performance treated as serious concert music, not nostalgia. Our fourth production in our first year. We were not slowing down.
